Rather than brushing flammable, noxious smelling lacquer and paint thinner on your model railroad engines and cars, they can be stripped and cleaned the modern way with L&R Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems. The imaginative hobbyist will also find many other uses for this ultrasonic system.

  • Prepare stripping solution (1 part Hydro-Sonic Cleaning Solution Concentrate to 4 parts water). Fill tank 2/3 full with solution.
  • Remove electric motor and other electrical components from brass engines.
  • Immerse Basket with car into Hydro-Sonic Solution.
  • Cavitate 12 minutes. Assist with light brush strokes as paint and lacquer loosen.
  • Rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Dispose of stripping solution. Always start paint stripping with new solution.

Hydro-Sonic Cleaning Solution Concentrate diluted 1:7 parts water can be used to clean model engines.
The solution can be used with caution on some plastics, but is not recommended for Ahearn shells.
